The Chamber pt2.

This is kind of a follow on from my last blog.....

So I said something like I am building something blah blah , yes... I cant actually recall what I did say now. However that's beside the point.. the point is I started something and well it took an unexpected turn.  This is probably the wrong time to be writing this as I have no idea what day it is never mind how I ended up where I am now. The short version though is as follows....

I decided instead of just making some new cool spaces to photograph I'd for once give it a real purpose. So I ended up creating a one of a kind library, combining both literature and "art" , two things I adore. Each chamber is different to the next spanning burning forest, stormy seas to  ruins in the desert. Its kinda cool how it works as the reading areas ie- the desert pictured above , when sat in,  immerse you in the environment, as they are built to fill your screen when you enter them, thus leaving the walls of bookshelves behind. I guess its the whole playing with space and perspective coming into play, after months of tarting about with it.

As for what reading material is on offer... well and this is probably bad of me but hey.. its the stuff I read / am interested in. There's a healthy dose of The Brothers Grimm , Poe and Shakespeare. Also poetry and various random short stories. But I still have a ton of bookcases to fill so who knows what will end up in there.

I never planned to build a library but I'm glad I did. Its the first project in a while that I am actually enjoying , even though its punishing at times seeing as the bookcases are not going to fill themselves.  I'll enjoy it more when its complete and I can sit down and actually read something, but for now the upper level is open and functional. Hopefully the lower floor will be finished in a few days then I can take a break before starting the final floor.  That's where we are up to in the world of Storm.... happy but feeling Very burnt out.

   As always
        Storm.
